Workflow
Section titled “Workflow”Familiarise yourself with the core moderation operations, when and how to do things when a member causes trouble
Make sure you can remember the rule number and broad heading/topic, this will allow you to cite them faster in contacts or notes
Commands
Section titled “Commands”Learn how to use all of the important commands and features of wypher bot. The two commands you will be using the most are /lookup, /contact and w!ref so make sure you know how they work
Lookup
Section titled “Lookup”Your main friend for anything info, this command shows most/all details about a user for a quick check on them, running the command without a mode selected will bring you the general info screen, now a short mode run down. On desktop you can also use the in-built Mod View by right clicking a user profile, this makes it easier to find user related discord logs
- Application: Shows users last submitted server intro
- Contacts: Shows all warnings/notices issued to the user
- Tickets: Shows all tickets the user has opened
- Avatar: Shows an enlarged version of the avatar (good for checking AI gen or inappropriate content)
- Notes: Shows all moderator added notes (more on that below)
- Raw: The data in pure json format (nerd mode)
Contact
Section titled “Contact”All things user communication (dms), notices/warnings can be issued through here with additional options for quick actions alongside the message being sent. In log-woa, the log will show what actions are applied to a sent message
- timeout: Written like
6h,1d,2w, adds a timeout - ticket_button: Displays a ticket button at the end of the sent message
- unverify: Removes verification from user
- disclaimer: turns contact into a definite notice, adds little text to the end of the message saying “This is not a warning”
Reference
Section titled “Reference”Quickly note something about a user, wypher bot will react to the message to confirm it’s been stored
- Notes can only be added to people in the server and with an intro
- After being created note edits do not show in wypher bot so a link is included
- Notes can contain media or reply to another message for extra context
- Notes can only be created in channels under the moderation category
Rank Rewards
Section titled “Rank Rewards”- Level 3: Unlocks ability to post in marketplace (also requires art access)
- Level 7: Unlocks ability to post images
Art posting access is processed via ticket
Drama Situations
Section titled “Drama Situations”Drama situations require early intervention before they spiral out of control. The goal is to catch issues at the start and prevent them from growing. We want to keep the server comfortable for members and drama-free overall
Handling
Section titled “Handling”- Issue notices: Use DM or verbal notices as a first step to stop drama from escalating further. A quick notice can often resolve things before they become serious
- Apply timeouts: If notices don’t work, use timeouts of a few days up to a week to give troublemakers space and prevent them from continuing the situation
Encourage Ticket Reports
Section titled “Encourage Ticket Reports”If you see people being made uncomfortable by a message or complaining about it in chat, kindly suggest them to report it via a ticket so it’s better recorded and causes less conflicting discussions in the server
